Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru, made the supreme sacrifice on November 24, 1675, in Delhi. He stood for religious freedom and human rights, giving his life to protect the right of all people to practice their faith freely. His martyrdom is commemorated annually with great reverence across Punjab and the nation.
